G-SYNC error message after panel swap After replacing an LCD panel, an overlay message may appear on the internal display in 3D applications:G-SYNC TEST MODEUNCERTIFIED G-SYNC DISPLAY DETECTEDThis is usually caused by the NVIDIA driver or its profiles (EDID/panel flags) no longer matching the new panel. The solution is to completely remove and reinstall the NVIDIA driver. Download the NVIDIA Cleanup Tool and an up-to-date GeForce driver. Run the NVIDIA Cleanup Tool and follow the on-screen instructions. Restart the system. Install the GeForce driver you downloaded at step 1. We recommend using the "Express" method in the installation dialogue, which leaves all options at their default settings. If the message still appears after a clean reinstallation, please report the device ID of the laptop screen to us. Unplug external screens Open Device Manager Find Monitors and double-click on Generic PnP Monitor Navigate to 'Details' tab select 'Hardware Ids' from the Property list Right click on the value and Copy it.
