The AMD Software app disappeared after a driver update

With certain AMD graphics driver updates or downgrades, the AMD Software (Adrenalin Edition) app may disappear. This app is useful for adjusting AMD graphics driver settings.

Step 1: Confirm whether the app is actually missing

First, make sure the app is not installed.

1. Type "amd software" into the Windows Start Menu search bar.
2. Check whether it appears in the results. It should look like this:

If the app does not appear, it is not installed.

Step 2: Restore AMD Software

We have created a tool to restore the app. Please follow these instructions:

1. Download the tool: Tool_Install-AMD-Adrenaline-Software-App.zip
2. Unzip the ZIP file.
3. In the unzipped folder, run Install-Package.bat.
4. Confirm the administrator prompt.

Once the script has finished, AMD Software should be available in the Start Menu. A reboot is not required.

Once installed, AMD Software is automatically kept up to date via the Microsoft Store. Updates to AMD Software are independent of updates to the AMD graphics driver.
